Head Cook
Duties: Include, but are not limited to, planning, organizing, supervising and participating in the preparation, cooking, baking, and serving of a variety of foods in quantity. Responsible for ordering food and supplies; operate commercial kitchen equipment and appliances. Responsible for following the nutrition guidelines associated with the Nebraska Nutrition Services lunch program and training requirements.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent educational experience, with academic major in specific areas with 1 year of relevant food service experience or High school diploma (or GED) and at least 3 years of institutional food service experience.
Benefits: Starting pay is $18.00/ hour with a 10 month contract. Benefits include District paid Family Health and Dental insurance. Employee Vision coverage is also included.

Head Maintenance/Custodian Trainee
Under the general direction and supervision of the Superintendent, the Head Maintenance/Custodian Trainee will work with current Head Custodian who I is responsible for supervision custodial staff. routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and other custodial tasks in the District. Work involves a variety of custodial tasks, and they may be scheduled to work during the day or at night. Work is generally performed in accordance with established procedures, but specific instructions may be given for unusual problems or situations. Employees may also be required to perform general security duties, such as locking and unlocking facilities, and light maintenance duties when needed. Work for this full-time regular position is subject to inspection by a superior for maintenance of established standards of cleanliness and compliance with instructions.
Essential Functions
Supervision custodial staff.
Operate equipment, including trucks, automobiles, tractors, mowers, and forklifts.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as cleaning filters, changing oil, greasing, and using powered and hand tools.
Climb ladders to perform tasks such as changing light bulbs and gaining access to equipment and roofs.
Make building and furniture repairs and assist in general construction and remodeling using powered and hand tools.
Prep and paint interior and exterior trim, walls, siding, and woodwork using powered and hand tools.
Perform other related duties, including:
Assists in maintaining campus security and provides information and data to assist in the preparation of budgets, projects, and other related reports.
Sweep, mop, wax, polish floors, and shampoo carpets.
Wash walls, woodwork, windows, and Venetian blinds.
Polish brass and dust furniture and other articles.
Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
Dust, polish, and mop furniture.
Empty wastebasket.
Pick up litter.
Sweep sidewalks and shovel snow from walks and drives around buildings.
Care for plants in and around campus buildings.
Open and close campus buildings.
Check buildings for occupants when locked.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a High school diploma or GED, 5 years of successful work experience in the custodial/maintenance area with a minimum of 2 years required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to qualify for auto insurance coverage. CDL or willingness to obtain a CDL with School Bus Driver endorsement a plus.
Salary and Benefits: Starting pay is $18.00/ hour with a 12 month contract. Benefits include District paid Family Health and Dental insurance. Employee Vision coverage is also included.

Bus Drivers
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Public School is accepting applications for regular route and activity bus drivers, CDL with Nebraska school bus driver endorsement required but willing to work with CDL applicants in obtaining school bus driver endorsement.. Route pay is $62/ per route.
